Our Pre-K students enjoyed a heartwarming mini-Thanksgiving feast this week! Gathered in their classrooms for a family-style lunch, they shared Thanksgiving food and smiles while learning the values of gratitude, sharing, and togetherness. This hands-on experience celebrated the spirit of Thanksgiving and reinforced important social skills like cooperation and kindness. 🍂🦃
Giving back this season!
Thanks to the generosity of the Student Services food drive, enough food was collected to support 20 families—benefiting the homes of over 60 NCPS students. Deliveries were completed before the break!

To honor Northampton High School students' outstanding achievements in the 1st marking period, NHS hosted a special Ice Cream Social for those who made All A's, the Principal's List, and the Honor Roll.
It was a fun and delicious way to celebrate their hard work and dedication to academic success. Congratulations to all who were recognized—you’ve earned it!

The KES PTA recently hosted an exciting Turkey Bingo Night, bringing families, staff, and the community together for a night full of fun, laughter, and prizes! Thank you to everyone who joined in to make this event a huge success. We’re so grateful for the support this amazing PTA and all who participated! 💛
The Northampton High School Cross Country team gave a strong performance at the Class 1 State Championship!
Renniah Rono finished 31st out of 96 runners with a time of 23:46, and Eli Philpot placed 21st out of 101 runners, clocking in at 17:53.
Both athletes showcased incredible effort and determination, representing our school proudly.
This team gained valuable experience, and we’re already looking forward to next season! 💛💙

Our amazing school bus staff and cafeteria teams had a blast at Turkey Bingo! 🎉 It was a fun-filled event to celebrate their dedication and hard work for our students and community. Nothing says "thank you" quite like a little bingo, laughter, and community spirit. 🦃
Recently, our community came together for "A Mile in Their Shoes" walk to support Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Participants brought food donations and walked the track in solidarity, raising awareness about these critical issues. A huge thank-you to all who joined and contributed to this meaningful event! 🥫💙
8th grade students had an inspiring visit to Eastern Shore Community College last week! This field trip introduced them to our new partnership program with NASA Wallops and ODU, offering exciting opportunities in STEM education and career exploration. 🚀
🏆 Champions! 🏆 Northampton clinched the District Championship with an incredible victory over Nandua! Proud of our team for bringing home the win and showcasing skill, heart, and teamwork. 💪👏 Go Yellow Jackets!

The student services department will be collecting food donations next month. There will also be a "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes" event on November 16th to encourage the community to help support the food drive!
On World Kindness Day, we want to thank our students for all the ways they support one another and display kindness on a daily basis.
