As part of October being Disability History and Awareness Month, Northampton County Public Schools joins the Commonwealth in celebrating the history and future of our citizens with disabilities. Our goal is to create greater public awareness and emphasize the importance of full inclusion in schools and communities for individuals with disabilities. In the first event in partnership with the Cook Institute for Human Connection, we are happy to announce our first Mental Health night with Dr. Kevin Skinner, who will be providing an outlet to answer any questions parents may have in regards to their child(ren)'s mental health and development. Parent Academy is one of the first events our community will have the chance to come together and learn about the Northampton resources available to them. More information will be coming out soon regarding childcare, vendors, and a schedule/overview of sessions. NCPS hopes everyone is able to come to this fantastic community event!

There will be a special school board work meeting focused on the FY 23-24 Proposed Budget on Thursday, March 30th at 5:30 pm in the central office conference room.

There will be a job fair on March 25th from 10-2 at Northampton YMCA on Lankford HWY just outside Cape Charles. Over 30 employers will be there and looking to hire for Full-Time, Part-Time, Year-Round and Seasonal positions. Both Students and Adults are to invited. Northampton County Public Schools will be there as well!!!!!!!!!

The Northampton County School Board has canceled the Special School Board Meeting on the Budget that was scheduled for tonight, March 20, 2023.
